38. WRITE-A-QUESTION (Writing, Questioning)

Description: Write-A-Question is an interactive lecture tool.

Application: Use this strategy in any subject, including math, which has elements of regular direct instruction/lecture.

Process:  At the end of a lecture or lesson, tell students to spend a minute thinking about the learning and write one (or two) question(s) for submission. Gather all questions and hand them back out to different students and allow time for them to write an answer. Ask students to share a few questions and answers and inject points of clarification when necessary.
