40. MULTIPLE CHOICE TEST CORRECTIONS (Feedback, Writing)

Description: Students can increase learning by reviewing and correcting multiple choice mistakes using a simple template. Corrections help students analyze and understand their errors, thus increasing the possibility of higher mastery.

Application: Use on multiple choice tests as an in-class or, preferably, homework assignment.

Process: Hand back a recently graded multiple choice test/quiz. Tell students to fill out completely the template provided (addendum below) and attach old quiz to the corrections sheet. Remind students that corrections are a separate grade from the test/quiz and that students who received a 100% on the original test/quiz will receive exemption from the assignment.
