44. STU-Q-2 (Feedback, Collaboration, Discussion)
Description: This activity allows students to move around the room, sharing questions and answers with others.
Application: Use Stu-Q-2 to prepare for a test or to enhance listening skills and improve understanding.
Process: Prior to an assessment, ask students to prepare a card with a topic relevant question on one side and the answer on the back. (Encourage students to use all levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy) Emphasize to students that after all rounds, cards are exchanged. Round one: pair students; assign them “1” and “2” status. Direct “1” to ask their question to partner “2.” Partner “2” answers and, depending on the response, “1” gives additional information for clarification or acknowledges answer is correct. Tell them to reverse roles with “2” quizzing “1.” Round two: ask duos to create teams of four, repeating action, but mixing partners. Round three: the new partnership seeks a different partnership and the action is repeated.
