7. EXIT ARROW (Feedback, Discussion)

Description: The Exit Arrow acts as a comprehension gauge for a particular lesson taught.

Application: Use as an informal whole class assessment.

Process:  At the end of a lesson or classroom period, hand out an exit arrow card (Addendum UU) and ask students to fill in the arrow to the appropriate descriptor. Next class meeting, discuss the results by re-teaching or re-confirming as necessary.
