80. NOTE-ABLE DIFFERENCES (Writing, Discussion)
Description: Research suggests the brain loves novelty, and when new strategies are used to convey information, it is more open to learning. In Note-Able Differences, teachers expose students to different formats of notetaking in order for the perceived mundane process to be fresh and revitalized.
Application: Teach the various formats early in most courses and use them for guided practice, formative assessments, homework, and/or substitute days.
Process: Determine what notetaking format will be used or allow students to choose:
